Website for Coaches in India: What to Build and What It Costs
A website for coaches can be one page with a named audience, one priced offer and one booking step. One builder plan runs ₹149 a month at first and ₹449 at renewal.

Key takeaways
- A first website for coaches is one page: a named audience and outcome, one priced offer and one next step. Fill in the seven-field brief below before you choose a builder.
- Compare builders by their average monthly cost over five years, including the renewal price, then add the domain and payment fees.
- Each online payment loses a gateway fee plus Goods and Services Tax (GST) on that fee. GST registration generally starts only above a yearly turnover threshold.
- In our view, a visible price and a phone number are the cheapest ways for a new coach to stand out from other coach homepages.

Of the four Indian coach homepages we reviewed in October 2026, only two showed a price. A visitor who cannot see what you charge has to write to find out, which is a lot to ask of a stranger.
A coach's first page does not need to be clever. It needs to let a stranger tell, within seconds, who it is for, what the offer includes and costs, and how to take the next step.
We start with the brief you fill in before you pay anyone, because a builder or designer can only display decisions you have already made.
This page gives you that brief with a pass or fail test for each field, a way to total the cost of any builder in rupees, and the fees that take a slice of every payment. You can finish the brief in one evening.
What does a website for coaches need on its first day?
A website for coaches needs seven things on its first day, and each has a test you can run. Fill them in on paper first. If a field fails its test, rewrite the field before you touch the design.
Who is a coach's website for, and what result does it promise?
Write one line: "I help [who] to [result] in [time]." Pass: show it to someone for five seconds, then ask who it is for, and they answer correctly. Fail: the audience is "everyone", or the line could sit on any coach's site.
What proof can a new coach show?
Use something a stranger can check: a named client result you have permission to share, a credential, or a talk you gave. With no clients yet, say you are running a pilot and how many places you are offering. Pass: every proof item can be verified. Fail: any unnamed or invented testimonial.
What should a coach's one offer include?
Give its name, the number and length of sessions, and a price or price range. Pass: a visitor can say what they get and what it costs without messaging you. Fail: "contact for pricing" is the only price information.
What should the one next step be?
Choose a booking link, or a phone call or WhatsApp message. Pass: from the top of the page, a visitor can start that step in two taps on a phone. Fail: three competing buttons.
How should a coach get paid on the website?
Use a UPI (Unified Payments Interface, India's instant bank-transfer system) or card payment link. Pass: you complete a test payment from your own phone. Fail: "message me for bank details".
What free thing should a coach offer?
Offer a short assessment or guide for visitors who are not ready to book. Pass: it gives the visitor a result in under ten minutes. Fail: a bare "subscribe" box.
What basics belong in the footer?
Include contact details, a privacy policy link and, if you are registered, your GST number. Pass: contact details appear on every page, and any page that collects an email address links to the privacy policy. Fail: no contact details, or no privacy policy link on a page that collects an email address.
Where you are decides how much of the brief to build (our recommendation):
| Where you are | What to build | Where the money goes |
|---|---|---|
| No paying client yet | One page with the first four fields and a free booking link | A domain and a basic builder plan |
| One to five paying clients | Add a priced offer page, two named testimonials and the free resource | The same plan, plus a payment link |
| Steady clients and one signature offer | Consider having the site built for you | A quote, once your positioning is settled |
Do you need a website before your first coaching client?
You need a page, not a full website, before your first coaching client. A single page gives the conversations you are already having somewhere to land, and it costs little to change.
Our recommendation is to work in this order: choose your audience, write your first offer, talk to people who fit, then build the page. The page records what you have learned. Our guides on building a coaching business in India from a clear first offer and building a coach's personal brand in 40 days cover the first two steps.
A social media profile can start conversations. It cannot hold a price, a booking step and proof in one place that a prospect can forward to a friend. That is the job of the one-page site.

What do Indian coaches' homepages actually show?
Of four Indian coach homepages we reviewed, two showed a price and one showed a phone number. We publish this page, and our own site was not among the four.
We took four homepages of Indian life, leadership and business coaches that appeared when we searched for Indian coach websites. We visited each once in October 2026 and scored seven checks. The sample is small and covers homepages only, so it shows what these coaches do, not what converts.
| Check and how we scored it | Homepages passing (of 4) |
|---|---|
| Headline names a client group narrower than "professionals" or "leaders" alone, plus a result | 2 |
| Calendar or booking link on the homepage | 3 (the fourth offered a callback form) |
| Free resource or newsletter signup | 3 |
| Named steps in a process | 2 |
| Named testimonials | 2 |
| A price shown | 2 |
| A phone number shown | 1 |
The two prices were a single ₹500 strategy session on one site, and on the other a ₹15,000 one-off session plus monthly plans of ₹45,000, ₹72,000 and ₹1,20,000. In our view a new coach can close the price and phone gaps cheaply. You can repeat the audit in half an hour with four sites in your own niche.
How do you work out what a coach's website costs in rupees?
Add the price of the introductory term to the renewal price for the remaining months, divide by the total months, and compare plans on that average, not on the banner rate. This is our model:
average per month = (term price × term months + renewal price × remaining months) ÷ total months
Take a worked example, not a recommendation: a builder plan listed at ₹149 a month for 48 months, renewing at ₹449 a month, as shown on one builder's India price page as of October 2026.
- Term: 48 × ₹149 = ₹7,152.
- Renewal for the fifth year: 12 × ₹449 = ₹5,388.
- Five-year total: ₹7,152 + ₹5,388 = ₹12,540.
- Average: ₹12,540 ÷ 60 months = ₹209 a month.
Check three things at every checkout: the total in rupees for the full term, the renewal price, and what the plan includes. A site can show visitors from abroad another currency, so confirm the amount in rupees before you pay.
Your domain is the web address, such as yourname.com. As of October 2026, a registrar's India price page lists a .in domain at ₹899 and a .com at ₹1,499 for the first year. Renewal prices differ, so check them when you register.
For booking, a free plan is enough to start. Calendly's pricing page shows its free plan includes one event type, which covers a single discovery call.
If you would rather not assemble this yourself, our web development service builds the site around your customers and the results you want. We quote on request, so ask us.
How much does it cost to get paid, and when does GST apply?
Taking a payment through Razorpay costs 2% plus 18% GST on that fee, a total of 2.36% of the session price, as of October 2026 on Razorpay's pricing page. A payment gateway is the service that collects UPI and card payments for you. Other gateways set their own fees.
Our calculation (price × 2% × 1.18):
| Session price | Fee (2%) | GST on fee (18%) | Total fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| ₹500 | ₹10 | ₹1.80 | ₹11.80 |
| ₹5,000 | ₹100 | ₹18 | ₹118 |
| ₹15,000 | ₹300 | ₹54 | ₹354 |
Charging GST yourself is a separate matter. Under Section 22 of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017, published by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), a supplier must register once aggregate turnover in a financial year exceeds ₹20 lakh. For supplies made from special category states the limit is ₹10 lakh, which the government may raise up to ₹20 lakh. Some suppliers must register whatever their turnover, so confirm your own position with a chartered accountant. These rules apply as of October 2026.
What should a coaching website fix first to get enquiries?
Fix the headline first, then the price, then the next step, then the proof. In our view these are the likeliest causes of a site that gets no enquiries. Our four-homepage audit cannot show what converts, so treat this order as our recommendation.
- The headline. Does it name who you help and the result? If not, rewrite it before anything else.
- The price. Add a price or a range for one offer. A visitor who must write to learn the cost has one more reason not to.
- The next step. Keep one primary button and remove the rest.
- The proof. Add what a stranger can verify, and nothing invented.
Once enquiries start, follow-up becomes the next problem. Our coaching business automation audit helps you find the first three systems worth setting up.

When should a coach have the website built for them?
Have the site built when your positioning is settled and an offer is already selling, because a designer can only build around decisions you have made. Before that, you pay twice: once to build around guesses, and again to rebuild.
At that point our web development service builds the site around your customers and your results. If your brand still needs shaping, our masterclass Brand New Brand You covers building a unique, authentic and memorable brand identity. Bring your completed brief and ask for a quote.
