What is a signature program?
A signature program is a coach's flagship, repeatable offer built on one method, with one client type, a checkable outcome, a fixed length and live support.
Key takeaways
- The method makes it a signature program; group or one-to-one delivery is a separate choice.
- Live support separates a signature program from a recorded course.
- Six lines, each with a pass and a fail mark, tell you whether your offer is ready to be called one.
- If nobody has been through your method yet, run it with a few clients first, then name it and build the sales page.
Introduction
The name signature program gets attached to one-to-one coaching, group coaching and recorded courses alike, so the label alone does not tell a coach what to build. The choice matters, because building the wrong thing costs months of your time.
Two easy mistakes follow from that. Treat it as a recorded course and you may spend months on lessons clients do not finish. Treat it as open-ended coaching and every client is built from scratch, so you stay tied to your calendar. Both are avoidable.
This page gives you a stricter test: six lines you can write down, each with a pass and a fail mark, so you can see before you name anything whether your offer is ready to carry the name. It also shows how a signature program differs from the offers you may already sell.
What is a signature program, and how is it different from a course?
A signature program is the flagship, repeatable offer a coach, trainer or consultant becomes known for, built on one method. This page also requires one defined client type, one outcome the client can check, a set number of weeks and live contact with the coach; that stricter test is a recommendation. A rule of thumb: if the client gets no live access to the coach, it is a course.
The live format can be a group or one-to-one. The method is what makes it a signature program, and the delivery format is a separate choice.

What else does signature program mean, and what does a coaching signature program not need?
Searching signature program also returns e-signature tools and card pages. Visa Signature is a premium credit card tier. Neither is the coaching meaning.
Inside coaching, the label gets stuck on one-to-one coaching, group coaching and recorded courses. That is why people talk past each other. The comparison table in the first section settles it by method and live support, not by format.
A signature program does not need a course platform, a member site or a heavy workbook. A short, well-run method beats an elaborate, unproven one. It is also not about promoting the coach. The client buys the result, so lead with the result.
Is your offer ready to carry a name?
Your offer is ready when you can write the six lines below and each one passes. The test is built from the definition above, so run it honestly before you name anything.
Six lines that make an offer ready
Who is it for?
Pass: one sentence ("for ___ who ___") that lets a stranger tell whether they are in or out. Fail: "anyone who wants to grow".
What outcome can the client check?
Pass: a result a client can verify, with a time frame. Fail: "feel more confident".
What is the method?
Pass: named steps in a fixed order that fit on one page. Fail: "see what comes up".
What is the format?
Pass: a stated number of live sessions or calls with the coach (group or one-to-one), at least one live touchpoint per week or fortnight, and defined contact between sessions. Fail: recorded lessons only, or "as needed".
How long is it?
Pass: a fixed number of weeks. Fail: open-ended.
What is the proof?
Pass: at least one client, or a pilot client, whose result you can show with permission. Fail: nobody has been through it. In that case, run it with a few clients first, then name it and write the sales page.
Which neighbouring offers get confused with it?
A signature program is easily confused with four neighbouring terms. Each does a different job.
- Online course: recorded lessons, usually without live access to the coach. See how to create an online course people will pay for.
- Coaching framework: the method inside the program, not the offer itself. See the Coaching Framework page.
- Lead magnet: a free item that brings people in before they buy. See Lead Magnet.
- Brand positioning: where your offer sits in the buyer's mind. See Brand Positioning.
How Rohini Mundra handles it
Rohini Mundra's own offers are examples of live formats, not tested against the six lines above. Private Coaching runs for three months in stages: Inner Awareness, Soul and Karma, then Living the Wisdom. The Heart of Business is a group program with interactive sessions and personalised support for career shifts, relationship changes and inner blocks, in single sessions or flexible packages. Group coaching workshops and seminars for coaches, speakers and entrepreneurs, and the Brand New Brand You masterclass, are also run. Details of the business programs are on the business programs page.
Prices are set out on the program prices page. To talk through which of these fits where your own offer stands, contact us, email rohinimundra@rohinimundra.com or call +91 7760095707.
Example
Freelance designers with several repeat clients who quote project by project join a ten-week program built on a named five-step sequence, from auditing current work to making the offer. They get a live group call every week plus a review of each person's draft. The outcome is at least one signed monthly retainer, a fixed monthly fee for ongoing work, from an existing client within ten weeks. A pilot cohort's signed retainers, shown with permission, serve as the proof. This is an illustration, not a real client.
